Terms and Conditions
SIA Madonas karameles, registration No. 45403040415, registered address: Rīgas iela 1, Madona, LV-4801 (hereinafter – the Seller) operates the online store karameles.lv and sells goods under these Terms and Conditions.
1. General provisions
1.1. These terms govern the legal relationship between the Seller and any person purchasing from the online store (hereinafter – the Buyer).
1.2. By placing and confirming an order, the Buyer confirms that they have read and agree to these Terms and the Privacy Policy.
1.3. The Seller may amend these terms. The updated version takes effect upon publication on the website.
2. Prices and product information
2.1. Prices are shown in euros (EUR) next to each product and include applicable VAT where required.
2.2. Shipping costs are calculated and shown before order confirmation and depend on the delivery method and destination.
2.3. Product descriptions and specifications are provided on each product page. Images are illustrative.
3. Placing an order
3.1. To order, the Buyer adds products to the cart, fills in the required details, chooses delivery and payment methods, reviews the terms, and confirms the order.
3.2. After confirmation, the Buyer receives an order confirmation by e-mail.
3.3. The contract enters into force when payment is received by the Seller or confirmed in the payment service provider’s system.
3.4. If a product cannot be delivered (e.g. out of stock), the Seller informs the Buyer and refunds the paid amount (including shipping) within 14 days.
4. Payment and currency
4.1. The settlement currency of the online store is the euro (EUR).
4.2. Payments are processed via the makecommerce.lv platform (Maksekeskus AS). Available methods (internet banking, cards, etc.) are shown at checkout.
4.3. Personal data required to execute payments is transferred to the authorised processor Maksekeskus AS.
5. Discount coupon codes
5.1. A discount coupon code is a unique code that the Seller may issue for campaigns, customers or partners.
5.2. Codes may be obtained from the Seller (e.g. by e-mail, social media, promotions or individually).
5.3. Enter the code in the cart or checkout field before payment. The discount applies if the code is valid and meets campaign conditions (validity period, minimum amount, eligible products, etc.).
5.4. Coupons cannot be combined unless stated otherwise and cannot be exchanged for cash.
6. Delivery
6.1. Goods are delivered to Latvia, Estonia and Lithuania via MakeCommerce / Omniva and other partners (e.g. parcel lockers, courier) and, where offered, store pickup.
6.2. Delivery method and cost are shown before order confirmation. Any destination duties or taxes are the Buyer’s responsibility.
6.3. Delivery usually takes 2–7 working days after payment. The maximum delivery time is 45 calendar days; the Seller will notify the Buyer of delays.
6.4. The Buyer is responsible for providing accurate delivery details. Incorrect details may result in extra redelivery costs charged to the Buyer.
7. Right of withdrawal and returns
7.1. Consumers may withdraw from a distance contract within 14 days of receiving the goods without giving a reason, in accordance with applicable consumer protection law.
7.2. To withdraw, e-mail a clear notice to linda@karameles.lv or arnis@karameles.lv with the order number and contact details.
7.3. Goods must be returned unused, in undamaged original packaging, together with purchase documents. The Buyer bears return shipping costs unless otherwise stated or the goods are defective due to the Seller.
7.4. The right of withdrawal does not apply to goods that spoil quickly or have a short shelf life, or to goods made to the Buyer’s specifications or clearly personalised, unless the goods are defective or do not match the description.
7.5. Refunds are made to the original payment method within 14 days after the withdrawal notice and return of the goods (or proof of dispatch).
7.6. If goods are damaged or do not match the description, contact the Seller for repair, replacement or refund under applicable law.
8. Liability
8.1. The Seller is not liable for delays or losses caused by circumstances beyond the Seller’s reasonable control (force majeure), including carrier disruptions.
8.2. Goods must meet Latvian and EU quality and safety requirements.

Disputes are resolved by negotiation. If no agreement is reached, the Buyer may contact the Consumer Rights Protection Centre or a court under Latvian law.
